Cin7 vs NetSuite (2026): Multichannel Inventory for Shopify and Amazon Brands

Cin7 vs NetSuite for Shopify and Amazon brands: Cin7 Core's published plans and limits, where Cin7 Omni fits, what NetSuite adds for finance-led companies, and who should pick what.

Quick answer: Cin7 Core is the practical choice for a Shopify or Amazon brand that has outgrown spreadsheets and QuickBooks-native inventory but still wants a published price: plans are listed at $349, $599 and $1,199 per month (Cin7's pricing page, 2026-09-12), with QuickBooks Online or Xero staying as the ledger. NetSuite is the choice when you need inventory, orders and the general ledger in one system, or you are consolidating multiple entities — at a quoted annual subscription with no public price list. Cin7 Omni sits between the two for larger, more complex operations and is also custom-priced.

Same shortlist, different jobs

Cin7 and NetSuite get compared constantly by brands doing roughly $2M–$30M across Shopify, Amazon and wholesale, but they solve different problems. Cin7 Core (the product formerly known as DEAR) is a multichannel inventory and order management system: it owns products, stock across locations, purchasing, sales orders from every channel and B2B, and it posts the financial results to an accounting system. NetSuite is an ERP: the accounting system is the inventory system, with subsidiaries, revenue recognition and audit controls in the same database.

Which one you need depends on where the pain is. If the pain is "Shopify says we have 40 units, Amazon says 12 and the warehouse has 25", it is inventory pain and Cin7 is the shorter path. If the pain is "we have three entities, a lender asking for consolidated statements and a close that takes three weeks", it is finance pain and NetSuite is the honest answer.

What Cin7 Core covers for multichannel brands

Based on Cin7's published product and integration pages:

  • One stock position across channels. Shopify, Amazon and marketplace orders flow into one order book, and available stock is pushed back out so channels stop overselling.
  • Purchasing and landed cost. Purchase orders, supplier management and receiving with costs allocated to stock.
  • Multi-location and 3PL. Stock held in warehouses, retail locations and third-party fulfillment can be tracked separately.
  • B2B, retail and returns. A B2B portal, POS, returns (RMA), forecasting and advanced warehouse management are listed as add-ons.
  • Accounting integration. Cin7's integrations page lists QuickBooks and Xero, so the ledger stays with your bookkeeper.

Cin7 Core pricing (listed on Cin7's pricing page, 2026-09-12)

PlanPriceUsers includedSales ordersEcommerce and app integrations
Standard$349/month56,000 per year2
Pro$599/month1024,000 per year4
Advanced$1,199/month15120,000 per year6

Additional users can be purchased on every plan. Add-ons listed include Forecasting, Advanced WMS, B2B Portal, POS, RMA, manufacturing (MRP on Standard, Advanced Manufacturing on Pro and Advanced) and API access. Cin7's page references a free trial without stating its length, so check the current terms.

Two budgeting notes. First, the integration count is the constraint that bites Shopify-plus-Amazon brands: Standard's two integrations are used up by one Shopify store and one Amazon marketplace, so a brand that also runs a 3PL connector or a second store is a Pro customer from day one. Second, sales-order limits are annual, so a seasonal spike counts against the same pool.

Cin7 Omni

Cin7 Omni is the company's larger platform for retail, wholesale and ecommerce with more built-in channel handling. Its pricing is listed as "Contact us", with 8 users and 5 ecommerce and app integrations included and add-ons for most features. Treat it as the quote-based middle ground between Core and an ERP.

What NetSuite adds

  • Ledger and inventory in one record set. Inventory valuation, cost of goods sold and landed cost post without a middleware sync, which is where most Cin7-plus-QuickBooks setups need monthly reconciliation.
  • Multi-subsidiary and multi-currency consolidation (OneWorld) for brands with international or wholesale entities.
  • Order-to-cash controls: approvals, revenue recognition, fixed assets and audit trails that lenders and auditors expect.
  • Optional depth: warehouse management, demand planning, advanced manufacturing and SuiteCommerce on the same item master.

NetSuite has no public price list. It is sold as a quoted annual subscription (platform, user licenses, modules) plus a separate implementation project. Commonly reported totals for a small brand run into the five figures per year before implementation; get a written quote for your own scope rather than trusting any figure you find online.

Who should pick what

  • Pick Cin7 Core if you run one legal entity, sell through Shopify and Amazon (and perhaps wholesale), and your bookkeeper is happy in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Size the plan by integrations first, then by annual order volume; a Cin7 Core trial is the fastest way to confirm the channel connections you need are covered.
  • Pick Cin7 Omni if you need retail POS, heavier B2B and more channels than Core's limits allow but you are not ready for an ERP implementation.
  • Pick NetSuite if you have or are adding a second entity, need consolidated multi-currency reporting, or your board or lender wants audit-grade controls and a faster close. Scope inventory and finance together so you migrate once.
  • Pick Cin7 now, NetSuite later if you are between the two: it is the common path, and clean product, supplier and customer data in Cin7 makes the later migration cheaper.

FAQ

Does Cin7 Core work with QuickBooks Online? Yes. Cin7's integrations page lists QuickBooks and Xero as accounting integrations. Cin7 handles stock, orders and purchasing; the accounting system receives the resulting invoices, bills and inventory journals. Plan on a monthly reconciliation between the two.

How many integrations do I really need on Cin7 Core? Count every connection: each Shopify store, each Amazon marketplace, a 3PL or shipping app, and any marketplace such as eBay or Walmart. Standard includes 2, Pro 4 and Advanced 6 (per Cin7's pricing page, 2026-09-12). Most Shopify-plus-Amazon brands with a shipping connector land on Pro; check Cin7's current pricing before assuming Standard fits.

When is NetSuite worth the jump from Cin7? When finance, not inventory, is the constraint: a second legal entity, consolidated reporting, revenue-recognition rules, audit or lender requirements, or an accounting team that spends its month reconciling Cin7 to QuickBooks. If none of those apply yet, the published-price route is usually the better use of capital.
